Le Salidou - a definition
As well as being our lovely home near Domme in the Dordogne, Salidou is a caramel cream made with salted fresh butter by the Niniches confectionery in Quiberon (Brittany).
Salidou can be spread on toasts, waffles or pancakes for desserts or snacks. It can also be warmed up in a double-saucepan and then served as a sweet sauce on ice-creams or desserts.
