The mirror swimming pool
The pool is surrounded by two stone terraces and two wooden decks, is very private and is protected by the two wings of the house and garage while looking out, at the back, over pastoral farm fields.
The swimming pool is a run-over system whereby the water drains over all four sides and is filtered and returned to the pool through the bottom, and through a stone fountain made from the stone recovered while excavating the pool.
The level of the water in the pool is the same as the deck, ensuring the surface is always clean of leaves etc. and requiring minimum maintenance. The pool makes its own chlorine automatically to further reduce maintenance.
Access to the water is by both a ladder and steps.

The extensive, private gardens
The house is set in about three acres of landscaped gardens incorporating an underground, automatic, computerised watering system. The gardens are mainly lawned but do include an abundance of shrubs, roses and many fruit trees including plums, figs, cherries etc..
